The end!

The boys finished the walk at 19.11 last night in glorious sunshine

and in true Wainwright tradition dipped their toes in the sea, tide was out !so as they walked out to it they took a few minutes to reflect on the last 9 days! a mixture of surrealism, exhaustion and total euphoria!
Harvey Marc's stepson made the journey up to meet them and shared in the final moments.

Then a pint and fish and chips before the long ride home.

Currently Just giving combined with gift aid is just under £2,400 and we're hoping there maybe a few more pennies at the end of the month.

It's been an eventful walk and I'm hoping to get Marc to write something here in the next few days and I'll come back with the final total later in the month.

So on behalf of Marc, Steve and Greyhound Gap thank you for the support, for following the walk and for all the generous donations.

Much love Sue walk co-ordinator x

  1. Blooming fabulous!

A massive thank you to everyone involved with the walk - you have all made a huge difference. Marc and Steve, my glass is well and truely raised to you.

The last nine days will always be looked back upon with fondness, all thoughts of tired feet will soon be forgotten. You'll soon be looking for the next challenge - and then would be a good time to remember the blisters!!

    You are both wonderful.
    Thank you.
